There has been a lot of discussion concerning our place "in or out" come selection Sunday when compared to other B1G teams. I read things like, "sweeping Northwestern, Iowa, or Illinois or winning on the road at Minny gives us the virtual tie breaker ". Even though I agree it should be that way, I truly think the comittee has shown it does not make decisions in this way.

Scenario. Purdue sweeps Northwestern and they have identical conference and overall records. The comittee is choosing the last team in between these two. We don't automatically get the nod because they have more quality wins, tougher SOS and less bad losses. This is usually done with the blind selection where they don't see the team names. I believe Virginia Tech fell prey to this on numerous occasions.
