Butler stuns No. 1 ranked Indiana in overtime.
From my vantage point at Bankers Life Fieldhouse I had a good view of the final seconds of Butler's stunning upset of No. 1 rated Indiana. Butler's Alex Barlow scored on a driving layup with 2.5 seconds left to give the Bulldogs an 88-86 victory. Jordan Hulls then missed a desperation half court attempt to win the game for Indiana.
Overall, it was a fantastic college basketball game between two very good teams. Indiana did not lose this one. Butler went out and beat them. The Bulldogs certainly earned their victory today by not backing down and rallying to win in overtime after Kevin Ferrell tied it with a few seconds left in regulation.
Butler's Rotnei Clarke and Chase Stigall also both hit three-pointers to turn a four-point Indiana lead into a two point Butler lead before Cody Zeller tied it to set up Barlow's game winner.
The following video is with 20 seconds left to the end, including the winning basket and Hulls' miss.
