One Game At A Time

It seems the negativity about how this team has performed has died down or maybe I have been purposely skipping those posts and comments but another thing that has died down is the optimism for what this team is capable of doing. I think that the constant talk about what if scenarios and who we need to beat may have something to do with the lack of optimism.

The team has had some bad non conference loses that could hurt its chances of making it to the NCAA tournament but bids are not given out in November and December, they are earned in March. As has been stated before we have lost by an average of 6 points, that shows me that this team is on the cusp of success not on its way down the mountain of defeat.

However, I think the mentality has to change from looking ahead to how to make it into the tournament to taking one game at a time. If we win every game from Saturday on we will make the tournament, simple as that. I maybe overly optimistic but I think this team is capable of such a challenge, lesser teams than ours have been able to make waves so why not our Purdue Boilermakers?

The season is not over, it ends on Sunday March 17th and then we can look ahead to the future. Until then lets take one game at a time boys and girls and see where this season, which we all knew was going to be an up and down affair that would leaves us in awe and disbelief, ends up. I am still optimistic about this team and have good reason to be, we are all Boilermakers here so lets support this team as we always have. Our next game is against ND lets win, simple as that.
