This article about Hope and the football season was in the Exponent today. For the alumni who probably didn't see it I included the link above. Hope basically says that if we win out and go to a bowl game he would consider that a successful season. It wasn't very interesting aside from that, essentially just Ricardo Allen defending Hope and then Hope rambling about loosing and team spirit. What concerns me is that our coach would consider winning out and going to a low tier bowl game a success. That might have been appropriate if we we rebuilding or full of freshman. That inst the case as we were at one point predicted to win the BIG (by some analysts) I don't think settling for beating a few non conference teams and the worst BIG teams for a crappy postseason game is acceptable. I Just wanted to hear other peoples opinions on this, I don't think Hopes attitude is a winning one. He seems to be content with mediocre football, which in my eyes is unacceptable as a coach.
