The apathy for Purdue football has gotten such that ONly a handful of staff members are picking games anymore. Here are this week's staff picks:
Since we are in the holiday spirit, I have my money on Danny Hope showing in a Jim Colletto mask.
BTW, the important game is next week when Purdue and Iowa try to out-disappoint the respective fan bases for 60 minutes.
The Boilers come out hot with the energy of "Save Our Coach" combined with the Marve Advantage(TM). Unfortunately, Penn State is simply a better team, and a much better coached one. In the second half, the Nord and the offense retreat into "awkward teen wallflower" mode (calling it "missionary position" football is too bold), TerBush makes an appearance, and Henry only shows up once the game is completely over. Meanwhile, the defense again reverts to giving it up like a Thai hooker on Half-Price Friday.
Purdue 24, Penn State 41
Yes, I'm bitter.
The keys remain the same: Our defensive line has to return to playing dominant like it did against the two best teams on our schedule and Robert Marve has to show exactly why we have been calling for him since September. I would love for Marve to stick it to Nord and Hope for continuing to back TerBush despite everything we've seen on the field. Unfortunately, I have no confidence that TerBush won't be right back out there at the first sign of a mistake.
Prove me wrong, boys. Play with some pride and go get this. Penn State 27, Purdue 13
