Purdue athletic director Morgan Burke will address the media via press conference in a few minutes live from Mackey Arena. The press conference can be live streamed here and will be carried on BTN.com as well. As you know, Danny Hope has been let go, so here are the likely things that will come out of the presser:

• I don't expect an immediate successor to be named. it would be highly surprising for them already to have a new hire.
• Patrick Higgins will be the interim head coach for the bowl game. It is my hope that he stays on the staff in some capacity because he has done a good job filling in for Gary Nord the last few weeks.
• They cannot discuss recruits, but we've already lost recruit No. 3 in Kyle Shortridge decommiting. Hopefully Keyante Green and Danny Etling will stay on boards because they are our top two guys in my opinion.
