We just got back from the Clemson/NC State game at Death Valley a couple of hours ago courtesy of some friends of ours from South Carolina who are Clemson grads and graciously provided tickets only a few rows up and on the 35 yd line as well as parking passes for the tailgate. We've known them for over 20 years, but today is the first time we've made it up for a tailgate and game and what an experience it was. It was amazing, close to 80 thousand people in the stadium and an equal number outside tailgating. The tailgating went on for as far as you could see in every direction.
Death Valley is AMAZING. We've been to tons of Purdue football games but we were blown away by the experience at Death Valley, cannons going off when they score, shit blowing up, pyrotechnics, Howard's Rock, The Run Down the Hill, it was just impressive as hell from beginning to end. My kid that I thought I had brainwashed is now talking about wanting to go to Clemson for the hot girls and football.
Why the hell can't we do that? Clemson has 17,000 students and fills a stadium with an 80,000 capacity. That should be us.
