Blogpoll Week 7 Final: It's A Purdue Fan Apocalypse

Are we headed for the darkest two years of existence since 1987-88?

One of the very few things Purdue fans have enjoyed in recent years is that despite our failures, our biggest football and basketball rivals (Notre Dame and Indiana, respectively) keep adding more years since their last triumph. it has been a generation since Notre Dame won the 1988 football National Championship and Indiana won the 1987 basketball title. That was coupled with Gene Keady's best chance at a National title falling short in 1988 because of a collapse and choke against Kansas State.

Unfortunately, Purdue is down and could be headed towards a Notre Dame football title and Indiana basketball title within three months of each other.

It makes me hope the Mayans are right so we can stop this insanity now.
