Years like this are awesome for Midnight Madness events...and for Purdue it's great for two really big reasons:

-It's always exciting to get a first look at an important freshman class

-Big name recruits will be in attendance.

People have views about such events that make sense (in that its only a practice)...but a packed Mackey can pay dividends in recruiting. Visiting prospects could be sold on the program if fans help make it happen. Since basketball is always exciting at Purdue, we should have a pretty great crowd. It's probably safe to assume that the H&R community is aware as well, but this is just a heads up. Should be a lot of fun!
