Exceptional Big Ten basketball putting football to shame this year

This article mentions a so called "Purdue theory" that Rosenberg has, along with praising the depth and talent in the league in basketball. The Purdue theory states, "If Purdue is great, the Big Ten is not." Any thoughts on this?
