Purdue faces the Hoosiers in Bloomington, Live on BTN at 8pm
Game threads for volleyball games officially started last season with the season opener at home against Michigan State. Though it only had a few comments, there was still some promise as the next thread increased to 50 comments. Granted, it was on the road at Northwestern about about 50% of the comments were from me. However, by the last game thread of the season when Purdue faced Florida State in the Sweet 16, the thread reached over 300 comments. Granted, this is no where close to football and basketball game threads, but it still generated a decent crowd in volleyball's first season on Hammer and Rails.
I say this because the first two game threads this season averaged about 6-7 comments (home games against Illinois and Nebraska), but I'm hoping to change that as the team plays on the road against arch rival Indiana tonight at 8pm on BTN.
The only problem is that James and I both have meetings at 8pm tonight. So we are counting on YOU, the readers, to help get this Game Thread flowing. I know there is a large crowd of the Block Party heading down to the game tonight, so I am not sure how many people that will take away from this thread. I'm hoping to be able to start watching the game sometime around 8:30pm tonight, and hopefully this thread will have at least a few comments by the time I sign on.
Make sure to tune in and cheer on your Boilermaker Volleyball team as they play live on BTN at 8pm!
