There aren't too many venues where we have won three games in a row in Big Ten play. While most of this crew is familiar with winning in every Big Ten venue, it is hard in a league like this to win consistently everywhere. The usual suspects of Penn State and Iowa, who have been down of late, are not places where we have a long active streak. Minnesota, Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Illinois have fairly recent wins over us on their home floors in the last few years.
In fact, our longest active winning streaks on an opponent's floor are Indiana, Michigan State, and Illinois where we have won two in a row at each place. Today, weather will be a factor, as it delayed Purdue's travel plans into this:
So Purdue's men's basketball team had to bus to East Lansing and left around 5 this morning. That should make for an alert team today.

Get Byrd in immediately and let him shoot to see if he will add value for the rest of the game. He is either on fire, or a major liability on both ends of the court.
Hummel and Smith have to hit some 3’s or we have no chance of winning. Our undersized guards are not going to get looks against MSU that they do against other teams.

He’s right… this team has the current make up of the prototypical bubble team. Seriously though… this team doesn’t move can’t score at post… and don’t finish when they drive. We’ll see how the 2nd half goes though

So we didn’t SMACK them around I guess. But it was a convincing win, the score may have been 10. But it was never in doubt with 10 minutes to go. I do remember Barlow’s dunk over Nix… we were up by 12 or 14.
That being said, I’d still don’t think we’d be all that appalled had Purdue done what Sparty did, especially had we lost to a team twice at home and after losing two straight. Yeah the alley-oops add more a sting. But that’s on Purdue to stop them from doing that. That half-court oop attempt was whack, but Hey Carroll can’t jump high enough to stop it. Some of the other oops… Dawson was wide open… on half court… whose fault is that? Oh well my opinion about this game is different than a lot of you guys. But it’s still just one loss in the BT.
