Plue on list of early entry NFL prospects. Will not return to Purdue.
I wonder if we'll ever get the story on why he never played last year. Weird.

I'm sure we'll get the story on this
right after we get the story on why Hope clearly favored Terbush in 2QB that wasn’t working
I've long had a strong suspicion about this
I have suspected that the initial rumor I posted hastily after the Notre Dame game in 2010, then quickly took down, but not before it got me in trouble with Purdue might have been true in the end.
Unfortunately, we only have speculation to go on instead of facts. Yes, the speculation is in line with what little we do know, but that means little.
A futile crusade to prevent mass ignorance

I missed that post
but from the follow-up posts, I think I know what was speculated. The fact is he was an eligible player that could have helped the team. If he had no chance to play, I’d rather he be dismissed from the team last year. Best is to move on, and not add him into the ’What if? game" for last year or the upcoming year…. the game that everyone hates but everyone plays.
Sooooooooo.....
What’s the rumor? Regardless, I hope Plue can find success in the NFL. He has the talent and the size to make a career out of it. I just hope some team sees that and overlooks the fact he didn’t play this past year.

Damn....I was hoping he'd be a major piece of our ground game.
Maybe it’s just my bad perception and laziness in research, but I’m concerned about the OL next year.

My post reminded me....What is the biggest/influential/etc. 'What if".... in Purdue sports?"
mine is….“What if Orton’s elbow hits the ground before fumbling”
I don't know how you can list that
Over Robbie’s first ACL injury.
That team was cruising to a #1 seed, seemingly unstoppable. When all was said and done, that team defeated three top 10 teams with only one of those coming in Mackey Arena and had man handled two of the Final Four teams of that year.
Reaction images? I got 'em
Senior All-American Alto Sax
I'd go with the Orton one.
Just because if that [then-]5-0 team had never stumbled, it would have arguably changed Purdue athletics forever, removing the evil curse that’s been placed upon us since that fateful day.
To your call once more we rally....

They still lose to Michigan.
That team honestly just was not that good. The Bowling Green game was the real heartbreaker.

I know that.
I was there for all three. A better team’s season was derailed before it started. The gameday team was overranked after pounding some weak bcs teams.

Better question.
“What if they call the five yard facemask they missed on the Orton fumble?”
Answer: We win.

At least it’s not like Plue played this year and outside of the bowl game Pegram was just kind of there (and to be honest his two touchdowns vs WMU, especially the catch, where going to happen regardless of who was on the field at that position)

This crap ticks me off. We loose a guy on the team and there are fans who say this crap, oh well we don’t need them. When we loose a recruit, you say, well we are better off and we have x, y, and z. Who were the people boasting about how exciting next year would be with Pegram and that one recruit that was turning the program around.
Plue didn’t play this year and Pegram saw limited action.
The mentality of my post is that losing them suddenly doesn’t hurt his next season because this year we proved at least suitable at the line and we have two (possibly three if Mostert stays there) guys above Pegram. We lose depth and a bit of ease of mind, but that’s about it.
Plue was never a guarantee to even play in 2012 and Pegram was added depth. It’s not like we lost Short or Allen, we lost guys that weren’t major contributers to the 2011 season outside of Pegram in the bowl game.
The mentality on it is we’ll be fine. It’s not like losing the star of your team.
Who were the people boasting about how exciting next year would be with Pegram
Who said this?
I think the bowl game proved Akeem Shavers can be a legit running back for next year and Akeem Hunt has proven he can be just as deadly.
I see Pegram to be more of a loss towards the fullback position, as I could see him taking over the sporadic handful of carries we saw Crank get here and there the last few years.
