Danny Hope met wih the band, as the Purdue football coach does every year on Wednesday during band camp, but this year was a little different. I have heard him talk to the band all three years while at Purdue and this was the first time I felt like he has real confidence in this year's team. The previous years he talked about how he expected to have a good team, but didn't metion where the team would go. This year he was much more assertive with his expectations of this team.  Now i must admit i was a bit too naive both the first two years, but i feel coach Hope has heard all the negative stuff about his tenure and now wants to go out there and prove to everybody that with him at the helm Purdue can compete in the Big Ten.  Now again this could have just be Hope's knack for talking the talk, but this time I'm just not totally sold on it yet.
