Harris & Hammons Updates

Some interesting updates on a couple high rank recruits:

Recruiting: Hammons hasn't ruled out Big Ten (Aug 2nd)

Hammons, ranked as the No. 90 player nationally in the 2012 class by Rivals.com, isn't ruling out a return to the Midwest for college. He said he would likely make an unofficial visit to Purdue before he leaves for Oak Hill again later this month.

Harris update (July 30th)

"I’m looking forward to my last year playing football," he said. "I’m going to play basketball in college so I just want to go out and enjoy it as much as possible because it’s my last time going through it. All the schools who are recruiting me want me to play football. They think it’s good for me and I think it helps with my toughness as well and my physicality on the court."

Hopefully that removes from the equation some of the better football colleges.

Harris said he is to the point where he is looking over rosters and recruiting classes of the programs he’s considering. "That’s pretty much what’s going into my decision," he said. "I’m looking at who they have when I get there just to see what I’m working with if I go to a certain school."
