Purdue added another recruit today. Jordan Roos, a 6'6 lineman out of Texas, became the twelfth member of the class of 2012. Roos committed to Purdue over offers from Colorado and Louisville. Roos also had interest from Texas A&M, Penn State, and Oklahoma.
Roos has good size for going into his senior season. Weighing in at 300 pounds, Roos is already big enough to play at the college level. He might need to turn some of that into muscle, but he's got a very good start. He has three school records in weight-lifting and one in the shot put. He also plans on throwing the discus and shot put for the track team.
This is a big signing for Purdue. Roos looks like he is going to be a monster on the offensive line. He played at numerous positions in high school, so his versatility is going to be a big plus. Danny Hope's speciality is in developing linemen, so Roos has come to the right spot. I can't wait to watch Roos beast for the Boilermakers in 2012.
