CMP vs CTC scholarships

Stay connected for news and updates

The last couple of days I've been thinking about NCAA BB recruiting and wondering what these kids might be thinking when they get scholarship offers from these two coaches. First off I'd want to post a disclaimer saying that both CMP and CTC have done a great job recruiting the state each in their own particular way. With that said I'd like you to look at how many scholarship offers CMP and CTC have offered from 2010 to 2013 so far. CTC: 2010 = 21 scholarship offers, 2011 = 22 offers, 2012 = 22, 2013 = 11, Total = 76 CMP: 2010 = 7 scholarship offers, 2011 = 15 offers, 2012 = 7 (8 if you include Hammons offer which wasn't on rivals site oddly enough), 2013 = 11, Total = 40 (41) Crean has almost doubled Painter in scholarship offers over the last 4 seasons. If I'm an athlete looking for a coach with my best interest at heart is this the guy I want to play for. His schollys are flavor of the month style. I think this just gives recruits a look at how he treats his players. IU has a semi-special situation, but still... almost double the offers? If I'm an IU prospect, I think it could be said that I am looked at like a one night stand until he sees something he likes better.... BOOOM! CREANED Boiler Up! Maybe I’m being too hard; Kentucky offered 66 scholarships in the same time period. Although that is a program that reloads with one and dones every year so it’s out of necessity. Gary Harris, come to Purdue where you can actually learn something about basketball and have a coach that does more than clap and tan
