I find it a little creepy...
following people who aren’t even committed to our school yet… Once they are enrolled, I have no problem with it… Maybe it is just me…

found it strange at first as well
But yet I see some asking “where are my followers from Xavier, Purdue, Illinois….?” I guess some of them like the attention. I imagine the follower count is an ego boost as well.

As alumni...
Are we allowed to tweet recruits who haven’t signed a Letter of Intent?? I’m sure there is an NCAA rule against that… Or is that only if you are giving large amounts of money to the school…?

Only if you give money to Purdue
When I was a member of the JPC I would get a letter warning me not to contact recruits. I suppose non-JPC members could creep-out all they want on the recruits.
I think once you become a booster, you're always considered a booster no matter what.

they have some kind of official ruling on what defines a "booster"
and most people don’t really have time to familiarize themselves with all the rules around the NCAA and contacting recruits. I’m not even sure if they have a policy on twitter.

I guess I'll follow them...
but I’m certainly not going to tweet them.
I think they want followers
not BFFs

Priorities
I guess I’m impressed by prospects who are more interested in working hard to hone their skills, and less interested in how many whack-jobs in twitter-land hang on their every thought.
Maybe I’m just gettin’ old…

does both. He answers people’s tweets…and we’ve all heard about that guys’ work ethic.
