Around SBN: Trent Richardson Interviews Fellow Brown Brandon Weeden

Brandon Wood, VALPO

I just heard a rumor that he might want to transfer to PURDUE.....using the 5th year different major for grad school rule.

He put his name into the draft at the end of March........so he has more than one option I guess.

He is a 6'2" guard who scored 20 against us last year.

He would be a contender for plenty of minutes.  Maybe Bade could go play football?

Anyone else know anything?  REGION HELLO!

Bade playing football

is even more of a laugher than him playing basketball.
But if that’s true about Brandon Wood….someone will have to move.

ya ^, Bade cannot play football for Purdue. People need to stop suggesting that he could/should.

Interesting

It’d be a good addition if someone decides to leave. He would certainly bring experience and an ability to score the basketball. I don’t know if he would be a starter but he would be really good coming off the bench. I would be highly surprised if it did happen but it wouldn’t be a bad thing. Does anybody know when we would hear about players leaving? I’m guess they wait until the semester ends but I don’t know that for sure. Is this finals week on campus?

I don't know about him buying into Painter's system

He’s a Kokomo kid, so I saw him a lot. He’s a pure scorer who has really gown his game recently as a distributor. He can score points in bunches, but he’s not know for any defense at all.

A futile crusade to prevent mass ignorance

Question

Would he be a walk-on? If so, I can see it happening. No way otherwise.

Agree

We don’t have a scholarship to give especially not for another guy under 6’6".

Only way it happens is if he’s a walk-on in my opinion. I don’t think he’ll do that though if MSU has a scholly open

Bade was actually a legitimate D1 football prospect. He had early interest from Northwestern as a tight end and kicker. He did look funny in high school as a 6’6" kicker. He didn’t play at least his senior year to focus on basketball.
