Okay, Boiler Nation. I have something regarding future recruits that needs to be heard.
I am a 2010 graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis. I've watched Terone play for four years and I've seen what he's capable of doing. He made HUGE plays in NC's run to the state championship last season.
Where does NC stand right now? They've just dominated Garry Harris's team in the regional final at Hinkle Fieldhouse. That's the Hamilton Southeastern team that has center Randy Gregory, who is coming to Purdue as a D-end next year. I've also heard that they have another player that Purdue wants in Zak Irvin. What's my point? Why should you care about how my high school team is doing? Because, and hear me out....OFFER TERONE'S BROTHER. Ronnie Johnson is a PG for North Central that has been breathtaking throughout the playoffs. In the game against Marquis Teague (top 5 nationally) and the Pike Red Devils earlier today, Ronnie had over 20 points. And that was with D'vauntes Smith Riviera (who is a stud and I also think Purdue should offer him...I drool at the thought of him and Terone reunited) suspended for punching a player in a fight during the sectional final.
North Central should roll to the 4A state title this year....and since every good player they have isn't a senior...maybe next year too.
