O.J. Ross Suspended
This is all the news report said.
----------------------------------------
Purdue announced sophomore wide receiver O.J. Ross has been suspended from the team indefinitely for failure to adhere to team policy and rules.
Ross’ status for the Dec. 27 Little Caesars Pizza Bowl against Western Michigan has not been determined.
Ross had 33 catches for 356 yards and 3 TDs for the Boilers this season.
---------------------------------------
Well, that is a bit unfortunate. Does anyone have any more information?

Hope sticks to his guns
Not sure what this is about, but you have to admire the way danny will put a punk kid on the bench for getting out of line. Ask Plue. I think his recruiting talent had been questionable at best but he is a man of principle. especially when this game means nothing! Nice job.

x2
Unlike O$U where the suspension is for NEXT SEASON, and by then the guilty party has left campus already.
OSU Was Punished Harshly...
by being forced to fire a coach who won a national championship and replace him with a coach who has won two.
Hope made a point
that OJ needs to get his academics together. If so, he will play in Detroit. If he doesn’t play, I’d like to see Mostert at receiver.
OJ doesn't care...
I don’t want to sound mean, but I have him in a class and he’s a moron. He’s showed up maybe 8 times this semester, very random too. He never strung more than 2 days in a row of showing up to class. Usually wearing headphones the whole time and just sitting there and going through the motion. Bush, Holmes, and a couple other players are in there too, and they at least comment on things when asked…
Stop yourself.
All that we really know about the kid is that he had to go back to Florida for some serious family issue. There could easily be something much more serious going on in this man’s life. You don’t know him personally…so don’t bash him like that.

Well....
… it doesn’t sound like Hope really cares if there is a family issue—-only that he gets his work caught up.
“If he comes back and does all of his school work and takes care of business like he’s supposed to,” coach Danny Hope said following Tuesday’s practice. “You have to take care of your school work first. It’s priority No. 1. We’re not budging on it. I don’t care who the player is. We’re not budging on it.”
“He better get it done pretty soon because the bowl game is coming up and the semester is ending,” Hope said. “He better get on the ball in a hurry or we’re going to miss him.”
So maybe xBoiler, when stating that he never comes to class or pays attention when he does, is just calling it like it truly is.

I'm trying to say that there might be another reason as to why he's so behind on work.

I can't think of a reason for why someone would keep their headphones on during class

A hearing problem perhaps?
Maybe it’s actually an assisted listening device, cleverly disguised as a smartphone so as to avoid being ridculed for being un-cool.

4 Star Recruit Curse
Another 4 star Purdue recruit goes down. Raheem Mostert can get some early playing time now and get that speed going. Maybe with a little time he can give us the playmaking ability that we got from Dorien Bryant.
High School
He’s been a big disappointment to me. He was followed closely in high school in my local paper and he was supposed to be great. I always wondered why the Fl schools passed on him – maybe this is why
It would help if we had a Qb who could consistently get him the ball…

I agree.
I feel like the talent is there at WR…..we just don’t have a QB right now. After this year I’m convinced that our starter next year did not play this year….at least I hope.
I hope it either goes back to Henry...
Or Appleby comes in a TEARS IT UP, stealing the job from everyone!!!

I still wince when I see the word TEAR
Too many bad experiences.
Henry doesn't pass well
Seems like a lot you forgot how poor a passer Henry was. Don’t see him as our savior at quarterback, I see him filling the Siller role next year doing a little bit of everything.
Come on Appleby
He was okay and definitely improving before his hand got stomped on @OSU.
He looked pretty good in the spring game, FWIW.

To be fair
The QB’s job is much harder than the WR’s job.
Although, that can’t take away from the holding penalties that Ross is responsible for.
