Paint Crew Admissions to Women's Game vs. Notre Dame

Someone left this as a comment on my last article, but I thought I would bump it to the front page.

The Paint Crew line for the Eastern Michigan game Saturday will hold the spots of anyone who wants to go in and watch the #12 Purdue women play vs #2 Notre Dame. I'm not sure, but I believe tickets to the women's game will be required, but all Paint Crew members have already paid for women's season tickets by virtue of their VIP cards, so anyone interested only has to pick them up. If anyone from the Paint Crew can confirm this for me, that would be great.

The game will also be televised at noon on the Big Ten Network.

Lastly, I'm sure some of the Paint Crew, and probably the readership at large, will kind of look down their nose at the women's game. But it's free, it's 2 hours in line inside instead of the cold, and you might find you enjoy it even if you're skeptical.

....and of course, you also get another shot to hate Notre Dame.

We'd definitely love to have a big chunk of Paint Crew fans there. Mackey is already perhaps the toughest place to win in the conference (looking at you, band), and a few hundred of the loudest PC members would make it even better.

Oh, and did I mention you get to hate Notre Dame?

If any of you need even MORE fuel,

consider every matchup against them in women’s basketball a chance for retribution of the 2001 national championship game in St Louis when ND beat us 68-66. IIRC, there was a little controversy to the ending of the game. FYI, they were a 1 seed, we were a 3 seed and just 2 years removed from our last national championship. Anyway, we should want to pound them into the ground every time we meet just to pay for stealing an NC from us.

Lady Boiler Hoopsters

This team has brought home one of our very few National Championships in ANY sport. It has landed THREE members on H&R’s hallowed Purdue Icons list and produced numerous All Americans.

Any member of the Purdue community who looks down their noses at this program needs to retake Boiler 101. Shame on you.
