Hope for football finally

PrintNot sure about you guys but I'm pretty excited for the 1st time in years with our football program. I have not been a big fan of DH but for some odd reason, he's recruited his butt off while coaching this dismal team. He's got some pretty good recruits coming in and look at the Offensive Lineman!!! Unbelievable! Very impressed. Maybe we'll finally get back to the good days when we would have a legitimate shot at punching those domers in the mouth. There's also a 4 star lineman that has it narrowed down to us & Pitt. That would be a BIG get. Of course the rival stars is not the gospel, but it's usually a good indicator of talent level. It doesn't of course indicate moral fiber and decison making process but it's not a bad start. We also have a couple of good prospects at QB. Would like to get a really good RB and WR still, but oddly enough, I think we might have something to look forward to.

Would like to get a really good RB and WR still
RB is the least of my concern – we have enough good backs already. I just want better D. A DE will be nice.

Although the pessimistic side of me immediately think of the horrible track record of our 4* recruits. Guess that means I’m a true Boiler fan – we are trained to expect half empty.
Ususally
when recruits narrow it down to places like GT and us it’s a decent sign they are good guys. Also everyone should check out BJ Knauf, he’s not as highly rated as some but looks like he’s clocked an official 4.33… that kind of speed will see the field somewhere.
I feel the tide changing
The earth and stars are now in allignment. There’s a good vibe now and getting good recruits and a great class it is looking up! Thinking about getting those season duckets.
So get 'em
We need fans as well as players to make this program better.
