Texas A&M to hire Sumlin as HC

Didn't think we had a good, if any, chance at getting him. Hate to see opportunities like this go though. I think Sumlin could have been a huge get for Purdue. As has been said, I guess the best we can hope for is a change/upgrade in the coordinators, but I don't see Morgan Burke even doing that.

no man, my mailman delivers mail to morgan burke and he said we are firing Dave Shondell and hiring Sumlin to be our volleyball coach
I heard the same thing from my mom
She got it from her hair stylist whom Morgan Burke’s wife goes to.

After watching Army/Navy today, I’m convinced that we need to offer Navy’s coach. I know we like to throw the ball around West Lala, but I think you can compete in the B1G with the option.
Look what Paul Johnson is doing at GTech. If you put BCS-conference talent in the triple option you always give yourself a chance.
At this point doesn’t middle of the pack look good.
No...

financial terms have not be released
to the best of my knowledge, but i’m comfortable saying that he’s making more than $900,000.
I haven’t read anything that’s made me think that Hope is going anywhere any time soon.

Boiler up!
Not sure how much success Sumlin will have at TAMU
Will his Air Raid offense will hold up in the SEC? Can he field a respectable defense? He can recruit Texas but how about the other SEC states? I think he would have been a much better fit as a coach in the Big12 or PAC.
