Alright, so Purdue has had a few home games now and the new seats with backings continue to go unfilled. Not just unfilled but entire rows without people sitting in them. HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE? If you own these seats how do you not go to the game, or if you can't sell them/ give them to a friend that can?? this was a nationally televised game and it still wasnt close to full. What's the problem?
My theory: Burke thought more people would pay for those seats. He put too many in and thus only about half sold season tickets. The rest have no owner. This is simply ridiculous and a huge oversight if this is the case. A great solution that won't happen would be to take out the top half of the expensive seats and replace with bleachers. This would allow the die hard fans to return to the lower bowl and help Mackey a much more intimidating place.
