Blogpoll Ballot: Week 14

One week to go until the title game is decided and the rest of the college football world is pulling for Georgia to prevent an LSU-Alabama rematch. Here is this week's ballot:

Analysis after the jump:

  • I am still going with Virginia Tech at number two under the "Alabama already had their shot" and "No team should play for the title that can't even win its own division" clauses. Virginia Tech can help themselves now by winning the ACC title game and therefore reversing their only loss. I have no problem with Alabama getting another chance at LSU for the SEC title, but not for the National title because that should be reserved for conference champs only.
  • The rest of the poll has little change, as there are few upsets this week. Houston really needed Auburn over Alabama for their very small hopes. They still have an incredibly small chance if LSU somehow gets blown out by Georgia, Oklahoma beats Oklahoma State, and Clemson beats Va Tech, but it's not good.
  • A couple of MAC teams crack the bottom, because, why not?

Finally, I have not forgotten about the pick 'em contest. I've just been able to contact many of the weekly winners off site. With one week to go Wyatt (Rodents of Unusual size) has a commanding 66 point lead in the overall race for the $50 gift certificate. There is still one more chance to earn a $10 certificate next week with the final round of games.
