Northern State BEAT Butler
What?!? 53-50 N. State wins. We even wore them down for Butler. I wonder what happened. I know winning isn't the most important thing in exhibition games but come on.

I really don't think Butler will be good this year
Yeah they have some talent, but the two players who really carried that team (mack and howard) left. I expect them to have a major fall off this season. I also think Northern State could have played better against us. Not beat us mind you, but do a lot better than they did.

but still, losing to Northern State that we managed a half-time score 41-16? But then, maybe after seeing the Purdue-style defense, they find scoring a lot easier against any other opponent?
Isn’t just last year we blew away IUPUI in an exhibition but then they went on to beat (or at least within a basket of upsetting?) Tennessee or Indiana?

We blew away Oakland last year during the beginning of the year and they ended up beating Tennessee. That might have been the game you were thinking of.

IUPUI is Div 1. And yes they did beat Tennessee in an exhibition.
