PrintThis is an impromptu GameThread, but that is what we do best. We have some discussion to have about Robert Marve and a potential mutiny on the football team via Twitter. We also have the newest member of the Cradle of Quarterbacks, Curtis Painter, making his first NFL start this week. Join in as he leads the Colts to victory (or at least hopefully doesn't crap himself).

Yes, but he's never struck me as outstandingly intelligent.

That's why I'm not really crucifying him.
Most of my dislike stems from on-field issues. But he’s right on this one, unfortunately. And what’s worse is that he’s the best option we have right now.

While I think it’s more proper to keep it “in house”, the way things have gone the past few years under Hope, it’s probably just a manifestation of what has been happening.

Later backed off everything and said to not make such a big deal out of stuff. They likely were just trying to save face but I guess Keith could’ve been talking about knees when he tweeted Marve something like “He (Hope) just said that to cover up the bigger problem, and we both know what that is.”

Raymond James Stadium
Fond memories of sitting in the stands and watching Drew dismantle Quincy Carter’s UGA before most people got out of bed on the first day of the new millineum.
Sadly, after getting up huge, Tiller switched to a clock burning ground game (that we didn’t have). Dorsch missed 5 XPs and about 10 FGs on the day to let the Dawgs claw back force OT. Memories of OT are not so fond.
The following few weeks back home in the ATL weren’t much fun either.

Cody Webster is now averaging enough punts/game(>3.6) to make the official NCAA stats. This may be the only positive from the ND game.

So I guess now a days you can come from 20+ behind in a couple games and everyone is buyin your team, you only have to show up in the 4th quarter… Not takin anything away from the Lions but with their fragile QB and not showing up until your way behind in the 4th…not gonna cut it, I ain’t buyin the Lions, maybe get to the playoffs, maybe, but on the road and won’t go far…

yeah, but
it wasn’t long ago that 20+ behind in the Motor City turned to 40+ behind by game’s end. The Lions are also collecting some impressive talent (Johnson, Suh, Stafford).
At the end of the day, it’s a feel good story in a hard luck town – textbook gold from the NFL’s marketing playbook. They’ll ride the story as long as it lasts.

I've said this since I first heard it
But if you’re a Colts fan, you’ll support this team for a win, no matter what. Look at the Lions, who held on for god knows how long, to finally have a team leading the league in wins.
Basically, if you’re of the “Suck for Luck” crowd, you can go fornicate yourself. You’re a horrible fan if you want your team to lose on purpose, and I’m making sure each and every one of my friends knows the same.
