An open letter to Curtis Painter
Curtis -
I want to start by sayin' that I've got nothing but love for ya - this isn't a hate piece. I write this (and post to Hammer and Rails) not as a Saints fan, nor as a Colts fan, but as a fellow Boilermaker.
First, I thought it was a total dick move for the Colts to bring in Kerry Collins instead of, ya know, looking to their backup QB. It was wrong, it was stupid, and it failed. But that's not your deal. All you can do now is go out every week and show them how wrong they were.
And I like what I'm seeing - improvement each week. Going from zero to hero will not happen overnight. Just take it one week at a time. Nobody expects greatness this week or next. You've got the opportunity to learn from one of the best, so take advantage.
But with that, I'd like to ask one thing - Cut your freakin' hair! You're a Boilermaker, damnit! It's time to put away childish things. It's time to get down to business. Yeah, I know Tom Brady has long hair, and off and on, so has our golden child, Drew. But you're not Tom Brady. And as we saw last night, you're definitely not Drew Brees. Man up, Curtis.
Sincerely,
Boilernation

I am pretty sure
that both he and Pat McAfee are growing out their hair in order to donate it to Locks of Love. This is just what I have heard, but it does make sense. Neither one of them look good with long hair, but you can’t fault them for wanting to help a child with a chronic illness.
I really, really, really hope you are right
Even if that is the case, please refrain from having your picture taken until it gets cut. He looks like a bad photoshop job right now.

Signed.
Seriously, the growing your hair out thing is FOR college, not after.
Unless at some point it results in a Greek god-like story gone wrong when he cuts it.
I come from a land down unda
Nah more like high school
I had long hair throughout high school (I had baby cheeks until I was a senior and the longer hair helped me look older) and by the time I was a sophomore at Purdue I was ready to keep it cut short.
Granted, the strict rules we have for marching band when we’re in uniform (no hair can cover the collar of our jacket) played a big role in that, but still…
Reaction images? I got 'em
Senior All-American Alto Sax
Captain Morgan
has the good sense to pair that with a handlebar mustache and bandanna. He still comes off looking quite manly. Curtis, in his current state, looks like a really, really ugly girl.
