Cradle Of Quarterbacks Open Thread
It is not often that Purdue has quarterbacks facing each other, but that is what we have tonight when Curtis Painter and Drew Brees face off in New Orleans. It is the first QB vs. QB battle we've had since Brees faced Kyle Orton with the Bears a few seasons ago. That game had no playoff implications, and this one likely does not for the Colts.
So sit down, put your feet up, and enjoy as Purdue lead for "Most starts by a school at quarterback in the NFL" grows by two more with Painter and Brees. Since Orton has been exiled tot he bench by St. Tebow and Painter is headed back to the bench when Peyton Manning returns, it may be awhile before we see a Purdue quarterback take on another Purdue quarterback.
Because as much as I like Robert Marve and Caleb TerBush, I don't think they are facing each other in the NFL.

not to go off too much on a baseball tangent here, but
I also would have liked to see how last night would have played out if the missed double play hadn’t been blown in the 4th inning. Cards scored 4 runs that inning after it. they were pretty incredible on the bats, but if the ump gets that call right, who knows what happens over the course of the rest of the game… could have stayed out of the bullpen longer.
but i digress. FOOTBALL, YEAH!

BOILER UP!
I watched the replay of the Purdue vs. Illinois game this morning… our play calling in the second half was not nearly as bad as I thought… we just needed to break a few more tackles (and not tackle ourselves). Glad to get the “W”.
Also, up here in good old South Bend, they replay the ND game every Sunday, so I got to watch that beauty again today… God how I love to see them lose!!!
Also, what did you all think of Tebow today? I find it hilarious that people think he is a godsend for nearly losing to the freaking FINS! I really hope Orton gets out of there next season!!!

It is just like the NFL… there was a year where one team swept their division, but missed the playoffs because of their overall record… I think this is the same with the Big Ten… Your total conference record is what is used unless a tiebreaker is needed… is this correct?
