This is just a crappy article with no new info but just rehash everything we know. But what really offends me is how the author says "Basketball has never been a priority or big subject in West Lafayette but that has changed a bit in recent years." You must be f***ing kidding me. Basketball has never been a priority? How do we get a winning record against EVERY OTHER B1G school? How do we get the most B1G championships?
And then there's this idiot's reply who even suggested we are more of a football school, can't believe there's such a moron:
There are many ways they have not taken it serious. 1) poor attendance until recently, 2) old/outdated facilities, 3) unwillining to pay for a quality coach 4)just look at who they recruit, 5) they don’t even have a Midnight Madness to open the season, 6) look at the fan base on the internet, very slim in comparison to any of the three schools listed here…I could go on and on.
If you are really going to suggest the 1932 championship was anything all that special without understanding the tournament and how it worked just shows your ignorance.
Be serious, Purdue was more of a football school. Keady was there a few years too long and they picked the right guy to take over with Painter.
