File this under the unexpected column. After the craptacular showing the Boilers put on Saturday, the recruits weren't scared away. Dion Witty, a three star recruit from Florida, committed after his visit last night. Why he would jump on the Titanic after it hit the iceberg, I'll never know.
Luckily for me, I only saw about three plays yesterday. Nothing seemed to go right and the secondary was not immune. The 5'11 Witty can add to our secondary right away next year. Although he isn't super big, he has a decent list of offers. Wisconsin also tried to get him and we know how good they are.
Right now, we need all the help we can get. Witty can add that. Hopefully all the others in attendance noticed our need for talent all over. I do have one question, however. If Danny Hope meets the unemployment line, will any of these guys stay committed? Does the cycle start over and do we continue to be stuck in the mud? I honestly can't answer that.
Welcome to the program Dion. We need everything you can bring to the table.
