Given,

a. Gary Harris will be visiting UK on 10/22

b. Derek Willis will be coming to Purdue this Saturday (for the season opening practice)

I can't help but wonder:

1. Do we really want Willis? I know he is a good player, but it is setting up a bad precendence that will hurt us in the long run. You are essentially letting everyone knows that it's OK to renege on us. And even if he joins us in 2013, what would the other players think? What would Derek think? (Oh, I am more special than any of you guys b/c even Coach has to beg me to come back)

2. What would you say to Harris if he committed to UK? If he goes that route, it'd be just like Derek Willis (i.e highest ranked player in the state going to the neighboring rival state). Of course there are some differences (e.g. Harris did it in his senior year, and he didn't renege on a previous commitment), but will he be getting the same kind of treatment if he chooses to leave his home state?
