According to ESPN it will be:
Division 1
Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, Iowa, Northwestern, Minnesota
Division 2
Penn State, Purdue, Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio State
Looking forward to the Kevin Kolb era.
5-8-10...the day the Purdue Boilermakers basketball team won the 2011 NCAA Championship!!
So assuming a crossover game
Ohio St-Michigan (obviously)
Wisconsin-Iowa (again obvious)
Illinois-Northwestern (in state)
Penn St-Nebraska (tv ratings)
Michigan St-Indiana (Old Bass Spittoon)
which leaves… Purdue-Minnesota.
yuck
or
Wisconsin-Minnesota
and Purdue-Iowa
or Wisconsin-Minnesota
and Illinois-Iowa
and Purdue-Northwestern
Words cannot describe the level of imbalance
in basketball scheduling. 4 of the best 5 programs are in our division, while Michigan State is off with 5 of the bottom 6.
"Hey Jay, what time is it?"
"9:30"
"AND IU STILL SUCKS!"
Basketball isn't going to divisions
At least that is what we’ve been told previously.
The IU game is still the last game of the season, at least.
Only last-game rivalry that was protected, besides Mich/OSU.
Get prepared for all the Iowa fans bitching about how we're not worthy of them
I’d still rather play them instead of Northwestern every year.
