We are live in Kokomo, Indiana at the official parents of Hammer & Rails. Today's visit was prompted by the 100th Indiana High School state basketball tournament. My beloved Wildkats are hosting the sectional this year and I got to see them begin their quest last night with a 68-52 win over Logansport. Tonight they go for their state record 71st sectional championship against Lafayette Jeff, and I will be there. In the meantime, its time for some free laundry and a championship GameThread from my parents house. This championship started last year with the following video. Today we finish the job. It is also appropriate that we finish this at Penn State. It was at Penn State that we broke our long road losing streak in 2007.

My high school girls b-ball team just won the state championship
they did it without their best player (one of the best in the nation headed to UCONN) who had a knee injury a month ago. If they can do it, maybe Purdue’s men can handle that challenge in the NCAA tourney without their best.

Overall record has nothing to do with it.
OSU has the better record against MSU (1-0, we’re 1-1) which is the tiebreaker either way.
MSU is the key
If it is a 3-way tie the tiebreaker is combined record among the three. OSU is 2-1, we’re 2-2, and MSU is 1-2.
If MSU loses the tiebreaker is how we did vs. the 3rd place teams. A wisconsin-MSU tie for third still gives OSU an edged of 2-1 vs. 2-2.
