Big Ten Championship OpenThread

We're live at Conseco for the finale today, so if anyone wants to stop by and chat about pairings or the game, feel free. I'll have a separate open thread for the Selection show tonight, in the meantime, let us listen to Ed from Live here and follow his advice from the first line of the song.

Also, I want to offer a big thank you to all the readers. We passed 600 members yesterday, gaining 200 in a little less than 6 weeks! Soon we will truly be Hammer & Rails nation, passing Vatican City's population of 826.

Low impact

day-

No games to worry about. Can’t decide who I want to lose the most- OSU or MN….

Does my disenchantment with Squidward and POY progeny- ET-

outweigh my total disdain for the unlucky and mistimed fates that MN has brought to bear upon us?

 Hmm..

I’ll go with MN. I think today- I will just plain hate them.

I kinduv

agree- if the bad day you are having is with the horses that brung u there. These are new pony’s we are riding in the race, and at this point we are 2 and 3 with them. Just the devil’s advocate thing here.

As far as any “street cred” if MN wins- I suppose if OSU is held to less than 11 for the half- it might help. I don’t think it’s the loss that hurt us as much as the “historic !! points”.

Post from Jerry Palm CBS Sportline

 Discussing the NCAA field projections:

Those that dropped off are Virginia Tech, Rhode Island, Seton Hall and Mississippi. Hey, that’s one team too many! That’s because Minnesota’s destruction of Purdue has the Gophers crawling onto the bottom of the bracket. That does not mean they are safe if they lose Sunday, especially with Mississippi State playing for the SEC title.

Purdue drops to a 4 seed. I have no idea what the committee will do with the Boilers — there is no precedent for this particular committee — but I do know that no team will get talked about more this weekend.
