I’m so sick of these guys. We lose Robbie, then lose to a top 15 MSU squad (granted, it was at home and butt ugly) and we are written off forever.
Don’t get me wrong – I hope the Cuse center is OK, but it was amazing to hear today how losing a key starter and a two game losing streak would probably not affect the Orange’s chances of locking down a 1 seed next week. Those two teams, I might add, wouldn’t make the 65 team field if not for the Syracuse win.
Three of four Big East teams go one and done in the conference tourney and all these j-holes want to talk about is the ‘depth’ of the mighty conference.
During the Illinois/Wisconsin game today, one of the ESPN guys actually stated that Villinova’s chances of a 1 seed were probably gone with last night’s loss. Nova is 2-5 since mid-Feb – why in the hell are they still in the conversation?
The only silver lining is that every possible Boiler opponent in the Dance reads this stuff and won’t see that ‘Hammer to the face and Rail up the ass’ coming.

Northwestern announcers seemed frustrated and felt the team played as well as they could. Carmody seemed upset about the turnovers but otherwise pleased with the effort and gracious as usual.
Oh, they mentioned Ryne Smith made a shot fake or two, too. Smith had a good game but I had to resuscitate that joke because, well…

Didn’t get rattled by hot shooting early on. These two teams really seem to get into it. Big relief with the win…

Not the prettiest win
But I’m not going to complain about a win over Northwestern. As weird as that sounds to say. We overcame some terrible shooting and awful refereeing with surprisingly good rebounding.

I feel like this time of year people notice how long you survive, not who you beat. Besides, we’re not getting a #1 without winning the whole thing anyways.

We aren’t going to get a number one seed. Its just the truth. I would rather have one more game to play as a team after Hummel then get bumped and bruised against a pointless MSU game.

Flipped past this movie (which I’ve never seen) on WGN between NCAA games tonight. I was shocked to see Bobby Hurley wearing an IU uniform and a skinny Shaq.
Went to IMDB to check out all the old ballers and found a young Matt Painter playing for the “Coast” team.
