I have a question...
Won’t Ralph Bolden technically have two years of eligibility left as well? He was a Sophomore last year, he medical redshirtted this year, so that puts him at Reshirt Junior next year, right?
You are also missing some people from your lists… We have a lot of players on the two-deeps that are either Freshmen, sophomores, or redshirt Freshmen/sophomores.
Also, I am looking forward to seeing some of the kids who were able to redshirt this year, play next year (i.e. Charles Torwudzu, Justin Sinz, etc.). I think our future is VERY bright, despite what some of the “fans” who are calling for Coach Hope’s firing think. Hope is recruiting great talent, and I can’t wait to see him develop them!

missing names
I work a lot of weekends and have three kids under 5, so I haven’t seen enough snaps to identify all the underclassmen who might belong on the list. everyone I missed is just icing on the cake.
That is very true.
And icing is GOOD! Bolden still has 2 years eligibility left too though, right?

Yes, he does
This is officially a redshirt year for him.
A futile crusade to prevent mass ignorance

I thought so, but I wasn’t sure.

maybe.....
Who knows where the program is headed, a few of the incoming guys seem promising nonetheless well see how things pan out given our knack for injury and musical chairs at various skill positions. I remain quietly optimistic about the future of Purdue football, but regardless i will be out there every Saturday looking forward to a victory.
I noticed...
Not many on the offensive line…which is too bad and seems to be a weak point in our recruiting efforts. However, big meat and potato offensive lineman don’t exactly grow on trees.

I'm not too worried about the line
Hope recruits line prospects, not O line or D line specifically. Large, smart, athletic men that can play either side of the ball. So, I think that some of the people recruited the last couple years as Defensive linemen will be making the switch to the offensive side of the ball (i.e. Nick Mondeck) Unless they are just absolute beasts on the defensive side (i.e. Bruce Gaston).

Agreed...
Josh Davis was a DT in HS, but is now an OT and shows to be one on the roster.
Kugler from this year’s class will also eventually move to O-Line, plus we have Trevor Foy, (recruited as an ATH in HS), on the O-line, but primarily played DE in HS. Justin Kitchens may move back to OL, depending on how guys like isaac and Pamphile develop. Hope’s strategy is to get an O-line that has a “hit-first” mentality as opposed to passive blocking.
If you haven’t noticed, he likes to move guys around similar to how Tiller did. This strategy works if you have a healthy team and looks bad if you do not as you make moves out of necessity as opposed to having a player role-ready. Higgs may slide to situational rush end from time to time next year and look out for Isaac to emerge as a great DE as well.
Exactly!!!
I seriously can’t wait until next year… I just wish Kerrigan could have been sent out in the right way. It’s a shame his last year had to be ruined by team injuries…
