Final Blogpoll ballot: Post-bowls
Sorry I haven't thought much about football of later. I guess that is what happens to the bowl-less that are still unbeaten. Here is my last blogpoll ballot of the year:

| Last week's ballot | ||
- If people wanted to be ahead of Boise State they shouldn't have lost a game.
- Texas stays above Florida because they were more competitive with Alabama even without Colt McCoy.
- The Big Ten looks tough again. Thank God we have no Iowa or Penn State next year. With Wisconsin coming to West Lafayette things could be very interesting for the Boilermakers.
- Yes, Central Michigan and Navy are ranked here. Do you really want to play either team?

Navy earned the ranking. They lost to #7, #16, the best Temple team ever (yeah, not much), and @Hawaii, which can be tough (especially with the travel). That’s still pretty solid. Central Michigan in much the same way, but with slightly lower SOS. The BC loss was bad, but the Arizona loss was at least moderately respectable.

If Boise were in the Big Ten/SEC/Big 12....
They would have at least 4 losses.
Ever Grateful. Ever True.
i hate that argument
you play the games on your schedule. Boise plays some tough teams next year. I head during the fiesta bowl that they cant get one year deals with teams were Boise will play on the road.

They might not have 4 losses
But they’d definitely have one or two. Maybe I’m just elitist when it comes to football, but here are my thoughts:
Even good teams have a bad week or two in a season. If a Big Ten/SEC/Big 12 or even Pac10 school has a down week, they stand a chance of losing. There are at least 6 teams on Boise’s schedule that the Broncos should beat with their eyes closed.
And they’re not doing themselves any favors with the non-conference matchups. They played as many MAC schools (2) as Purdue did this year. If you want respect from the rest of the football world, go out and get it.
I know Boise’s argument: “but no one will play us!” I have two responses- first, look at Fresno and their “we’ll play anyone, any where” attitude. Their non-conference schedule included Cincinnati, Wisconsin and Illinois. Second, a little decorating tip- if you want the popular girls to come to your place, rip up that blue shag carpet and put down something respectable. I know some people love the smurf turf but I’d hazard a guess that it looks like a gimmick to most of the country.
My solution- have Boise join the Pac-10, send Arizona (or ASU, I don’t care which) to the Big 12 (send one of the big boys up to the Big 12 North so that championship game actually means something) and add Missouri to the Big 10. Then we can all just stop worrying about the whole playoff thing until Fresno starts beating up on the WAC again.
All that said, they still belong above Florida and maybe Texas. (I’m still on the fence as to whether Texas gets the nod for coming that close with a backup quarterback.)

Boise plays mah Hokies next season.
Maybe that will win them some more respect…if they can win. Which I doubt.
