Northern Illinois at Purdue
Northern Illinois Huskies at Purdue Boilermakers, Sep 19, 2009 12:00 PM EDT
Well, what will we get today? Will we get the upset the "experts" predict, or will it be the blowout the fans are expecting after seeing the promise of the past few weeks. I am headed up to West Lafayette for the game. The usual seats in section 128 are in line for today, so no club section, either. Stop on by to comment during the game. I'll try and add a few comments by phone as well.

Well...
Basically nothing is going right at this point, offense and defense are looking poor

What the hell?
We can’t be this bad. Getting dominated on the halftime stats in every category and going from a punt return TD to TWO fumbles by Valentin? Do we look as bad as gamecast leads me to believe?

I'm watching the ESPN GameCast of the game
At least we are within a TD now. It just seems that the big plays is killing us.
COME ON PURDUE. Time for the comeback.
Guy behind me at Autzen says "why do the fans yell 'OOOOOO' when we are on D?" He then proceeds to yell "DEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" on every defensive play for the rest of the game. As Carlos Mencia would say, "Dee Dee Deeeee".

Not blaming the refs,
Because we didn’t show until the fourth quarter, but did that pass not obviously hit the ground? And that would have been a big deal…

I know how it feels to have a letdown week like this. Purdue will bounce back. Go win 7 or 8 Big Ten games and make a good bowl game.

as bad as it looked on tv...
it was worse in person. 10 steps back from the first two games at least. We had no energy, fire, and we shot ourselves any time we had a chance to turn momentum. I am going to have a lovshack, drive home, get a beer, and have more later.
A futile crusade to prevent mass ignorance

Come on Spartans. Salvage this waste of a football Saturday. MCD- nice to see the Ducks taking it to Utah.
