It might end up being true....

….but the only “confirmation” of this decision is someone read it on Kelsey’s facebook.

I’m not sure of the redshirt rules (I seem to recall it’s like a player can play no more than 30% of the teams games), so are they just waiting until that allotment is taken up (which would be approximately 9 games—-not sure if the 2 “exhibition” games count) before announcing the decision?

Exhibition doesn't count

I think the rules are different for basketball. I know John Hart played in the exhibition games last year, then they announced he was redshirting before the season opener. That may be the case here.
