On the warpath: Purdue hosts Central Michigan

Central Michigan Chippewas at Purdue Boilermakers, Nov 28, 2009 11:30 AM EST

I know this is my inner cockiness coming out, but I am fully confident today will end with a victory. I am so confident I will even be out of town. You see, Mrs. T-Mill loves NHL hockey, specifically the Florida Panthers. Since Indianapolis does not have a hockey team (nor would four out of five people know what a puck is) we don't get much chance to follow the NHL. Her Panthers are playing down in Nashville tonight and we were able to get tickets at a good rate. As the Boilers play we're headed to the Music City and our best chance to see the Panthers this season. As a bonus, we're see Standford Keglar and Mike Otto take on Chike Okeafor and the Arizona Cardinals tomorrow. I'll be listening on the radio as long as I can driving down, but the comments are open.

Bold 2 pt conversion with seconds left in the half.

Purdue has CMU in a hole but we know they’ve come back from 3 touchdowns back so 15 points is not so big a deal.

/extending the football jokes seen here.

Realistically though looking at the box score, the only thing that jumps out at me is 8 offensive rebounds for CMU. Otherwise, hard to see ground for complaints so far.

The rebounding was defintiely atrocious.

Everything else looks pretty good. Although it would be nice if some 3s would start falling some day.

2-9 from behind the arc

We can’t shoot this bad all year, right?

Nobody touches the Shaqtus.

Statiscally speaking

If you are going to be shooting 30%-40% from beyond the arc for the season, 2-9 is within the normal variation. I wouldn’t worry about it too much.

Kind of a blah game.

E’twaun looked pretty good again. Robbie played pretty well. It would be nice if one of them could hit some 3s. Nice to see Keaton get into the scoring for the first time this year.

Oh, and the free-throw shooting was nice.

19/20. Would be nice if we could do that in a close game.
