Jonathan Uchendu struck and killed in hit and run

Thanks to Boiled Sports for finding this link. Former Purdue basketball player Jonathan Uchendu was struck and killed in a hit and run incident over the weekend. Uchendu played for the Boilers as a freshman in 2006-07, but transferred after the season to Arkansas-Little Rock. He averaged about 2 points per game in 27 games during his one season at Purdue. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Heartbroken

I was a member of boiler brass his freshman year. I made him a friend on facebook and he actually talked to me and he started coming over to the band after wins to high five me. Always appreciated that and I hated to see him transfer. He was a class act.
